It was a full full week in pre-k, as we continue to settle into our routines. One of my favorite parts of the day is story time, just before lunch. We often read the same book a few days in a row. This helps us get to know characters, plot, and learn new and interesting vocabulary. This week we read a book about a chipmunk, and a book about a roly-poly named Hank. Ask your child if they remember how to use the word inspect. What a good one!
As we settle into the school year, don't forget about the amount of rest your child needs in order for optimal development and functioning - 11-13 hours a night! (I remember when my children were this age and bedtime was at 6:30!) If you want any support/ideas about bedtime routines, please be in touch.

We harvested apples with Farmer Amy and Sarah.
Kids got to help cut up the apples for apple sauce, and peel and core the apples for apple rings.
