It's hard to believe we've already made it to Thanksgiving!
This week we spent a bunch of time working on the FINAL challenges in order to officially keep our birdhouse. Along with our fourth grade buddies we went on a treasure hunt around the school, found a treasure chest, and unscrambled some words to create a "wild idea". Your child is coming home today with small treasure from the treasure chest.
Please save the date for our annual Solstice Celebration! Every year pre-k gathers together to create some joy and light during this darkest time of the year. We'll gather on the evening of Wednesday December 17th at 5:00 for a short lantern walk, fire in the woods with hot chocolate, and have you home by 6:00.
Enjoy a few pictures from this chilly week!
Fresh snow on the ground was VERY exciting on Monday.
We had a special guest come read to us in Spanish on Monday! Kelsey Burns (former GCS parent) read and donated 2 books to our class. We loved having her!
The wood shop continues to be a busy place...
So many steps went into creating this project!
A stump, or a super cool steering wheel?
Leaf piles never get old.
We have a new set of self-portraits up in the hallway - check them out!
We started learning about fires this week, opening up our fire circle, telling some stories about fires, and getting ready for our first fire when we get back from the break.
There is so much creativity happening at the art table - this kiddo turned himself into a bald eagle, complete with eyebrows!
We worked with our 4th grade buddies to complete our birdhouse challenge!
Happy Thanksgiving! See you in a week!
