This week we had our final songwriter visit, and the songs created are so fun (I hope you'll listen, below)! Other highlights of the week include LOTS of time in Wildwood Forest, learning about eggs and nests, keeping track of our own egg incubating, and lots and lots of singing. Enjoy some pictures from the week!
Chelle is such a beautiful singer, these kiddos couldn't wait to work with her.
Listen to these instant classics:
The high temps early in the week led us into some water play.
and afternoons in the forest (instead of the playground)
Leaving gifts for the forest fairies
Did you know that dandelions make great face paint?
We're having so much fun learning each other's songs!
And meanwhile, we're on day 11 with our egg incubating. After reading an interesting book about eggs these kiddos are making some beautiful watercolor papers that are colored and textured like the eggs in our book.
Farmer Amy is very appreciative of the gardening help!
"Emma, we have to get so dirty so the Deer Monster can't see us."
A Friday cooking project: rhubarb bread!
Most kids had never tried rhubarb before. Ask your child what they thought about the bread!
Have a great weekend!
