This incredible school year is coming to a close, and we teachers are reflecting on the gifts that your children have given us this year: unbridled creativity, deep curiosity, kindness and caring, and lots of laughs. We can't thank you enough for sharing your children with us this year.
As summer approaches, we'll leave you with one final parenting recommendation to hold onto: don't do for your child something that they can do for themselves. Or, be thoughtful about the ways that you support your child to develop and practice skills on their own. It's not always fast, and it's not always easy, but we promise that it pays off in the long run!
Our last day of school is on Wednesday with an early release at 11:30. At 11:00 we'll have a special "transition ceremony" in the front field, and families are invited to attend. Each child will have the opportunity to run through our willow tunnel, symbolizing the transition from the end of this school year into summer and beyond. Please join us!
And on that note, don't forget about the Sandglass Theater puppet show at the Guilford Free Library right after school on Wednesday. Free book bags to all who attend!
For our last picture share we have first day of school and last week of school pictures. Enjoy!
