Pie in the Sky

This was a week where we pinched ourselves multiple times, saying "can you believe we LIVE here??" It doesn't get more beautiful than fall in Vermont.

Our adventures this week included a Farm and Field Day, leaf piles, and two different kinds of pie! Check out the pictures below for details.

But first, here is a message from our school librarian, Mrs. King. Next week we'll start sending library books home with your kiddos!

Dear PreK Families,

I look forward to seeing your Preschooler in the library on Thursdays each week! During that time, we will read a book together. Then students will have time to find a book and check it out for the week. Books will then be brought home to enjoy and read with their families. Please help your child return their library book by Thursday, so they can check out another great book.

Happy Reading!

-Mrs. King

Check Out →Read → Return → Repeat!

These two are staying safe from a wood chip monster, "The Bluge".

Firewood baby!

We have so many fun collections to count.

Leaf pile teamwork!

We got to watch three cows be unloaded from the trailer, just as Farm and Field day was being set up.

In the afternoon these kiddos got to visit some tractors.

We had a special guest come cook apple pie with us on Thursday. Jen Kramer is a grandmother to two students, our district Social Studies coach, and all star former GCS teacher. What a treat! We'll be seeing more of her this year. :)

Our art teacher Ms. Johnson introduced a fun activity on Wednesday - pushing a glass gem around a paper with a marker. Great fine-motor practice, and so fun.

Friday Friday, more pie! This "make your own mini pie" kit was sent to us from the Brattleboro Food Coop. Delicious!

A cozy outside spot for the Billy Goats Gruff with music teacher Mr. Damon.
