Fire Safety and Warm Fall Days

It’s been a busy and exciting week in pre-k! We’ve started a new morning routine, splitting the class into two groups for our morning choice time. Erin takes half the kids onto the playground while Emma does choice activities with the other half of the class. Then we switch! It’s been great working with smaller groups, and helps us re-visit classroom rules and expectations. Other exciting news from the week: we had a visit  from the Guilford Fire Department! You can imagine the excitement when the kids got to touch the fire equipment and even climb on the fire truck! We were happy to get back to our normal schedule on Wednesday, and have been enjoying the wonderful fall weather.

Excited about the fire truck?

It's not scary when you're the one wearing the mask!

Working together to create our mural masterpiece. Kids shared paints, shared painting space, and shared ideas. Such kindness!

We introduced legos on Friday - much to the excitement of the class!

Kids are working hard on sharing - legos provided a perfect opportunity to practice.
