It's Harvest Time

The theme of the week: Harvest! We’ve been singing harvest songs, talking about things we can harvest, and enjoying a delicious harvest of our own during our Green Mountain Orchard field trip. Thanks so much for those of you who were able to make it - you made the morning stress-free for us teachers. The kids had a great time, and we’ll be using apples for some cooking projects in the coming days. Speaking of harvest, If you have a  garden at home that is still producing some fall goodies feel free to send veggies in with your child. We’ll either explore them scientifically (probably through dissection!) or cook with them.

Going to visit the horses at Green Mountain Orchard

A fun hay ride around a beautiful orchard

Who's hiding there?

We started to make a "nature curtain" in our woods. Look closely to see the twine with strings hanging from it. Kids decorated the strings with different patterns.

Leaf, stick, leaf, stick, leaf, stick - a great pattern for the nature curtain

After a little rain the salamanders are back!

Silly face Friday

What's under there?

We have fun inside too!
