Rain, finally!

Rain! Hard to believe that Tuesday was only the third time we’ve had to put on our rain suits. We were glad to have them, and glad to add a little water to our outdoor play! Some children got wet around the neck, sleeves, and ankles of their rain suits and ended up changing clothes inside. If this was the case for your child, please make sure to send in another set of extra clothing.

Halloween is just around the corner, and we’ve been spending some time exploring pumpkins. Mason’s mother brought in pumpkins for children to paint, and the extras will be used for sensory explorations in our sensory table. Thanks Lauren! We’ve been reading books and singing songs that feature pumpkins, and the excitement about Halloween is increasing by the day!

Here are a few photos from our week - inside and out...

Blocks have been popular this week - check out all these great structures!

We've been practicing gentle handling of salamanders.

"It feels slimy in my hand!"

We meet up with our fourth grade buddies every Thursday. Today we sang songs and played board games.

It's great to learn a new game from big kids!

Memory...a classic.

Pumpkin painting on Monday - thanks to Lauren for the donation!
