Out Like a Lamb

It was so wonderful to meet with you all at conferences to talk about your wonderful children. We really do love them! A central theme that emerged is that parenting is really hard! No joke! As a follow up I wanted to share a couple of great parenting resources.

*First, an excellent parenting podcast called Flusterclux. Though it says it's focused on anxiety it is truly a podcast for ALL parents.

*Second, a website and plenty of social media presence from Dr. Becky (look her up on Instagram or Facebook, or check out her website). Plenty of very useful quick tips for responding to tricky behavior.

Also, did you know that April is the Month of the Young Child? There are many free activities happening throughout the month. Check your child's backpack folders for information, or follow the link to learn more!

And finally, enjoy the story of our week with these pictures:

We had the pleasure of a visit from third graders on Monday.

Pre-k kids listened to stories read by third graders.

It went so well we've decided to make it a regular thing!

Some "reporters" from the school newspaper came to the woods to interview pre-k students.

These kiddos were more than willing to answer questions about pre-k!

On Wednesday we had our final "Eat The Rainbow" visit from Farmer Sarah. Check out these great creations!

Hummus or cream cheese first, then fresh veggies on top. Yum!

This kiddo made an "OPEN" sign for our Sugar Shack.

A brand new "grill" for the Sugar Shack cafe.

Blocks are still so fun.

On Thursday we made some fresh fruit salad...

And on Friday we "sold" it at the Sugar Shack Cafe!

Some very impressed grown ups came to the cafe, and this professional crew took good care of them.

Children took turns taking orders, delivering food, and bussing tables.

We even looked over at one point to find that one child had take all the dirty dishes over to the sink to wash them! Wow!

Outside in the forest we had a great time with musical instruments.

Spring is slowly showing her face, and the snow is slowly melting.

Rock band!

Have a great weekend everyone!
