What an exciting week - our chicks have hatched! We had a pretty good incubation with 7 out of 12 hatching. The peeping in the classroom is charming, and chick excitement is high. Ask your child all about our chick adventures, and check backpacks for a special present the chicks left for the class last night.
As we wind down the school year you'll see lots of projects/items coming home in your child's backpack. We still have a little "lost and found" box in the classroom if you're missing anything specific.
We teachers have had such a wonderful year playing and learning with your children. This is a special group of kiddos, and boy are we going to miss them next year! THANK YOU for entrusting us with their care this school year, it has been a true honor.
Enjoy the pictures from the week!
My favorite birthday card of all time :)
Some guitar time together
Our last self portraits of the year! Keep your eyes peeled for our final product coming home next week.
The chicks started hatching on Monday! We had such a great time watching and holding them.
We were even inspired to build some block structures for them to explore.
It's been soooo long since we've put on rain gear! No problem for this crew.
Keeping it fresh - there's a new pizza setup in dramatic play.
Master of hide-and-go-seek
Field day was such fun! Even though we were inside there was still A LOT of excitement and fun. This kiddo turned himself into a dinosaur.
Here's a robot...
...and Godzilla.
This is an estimation station, guessing how many objects are in different containers.
Post slime-making blue hands, showing how many chicks hatched!
Slime-making, water bottle decorating, beading, and more in the art room.
And 3 different bouncy houses in the gym!
You may have some tired kiddos tonight! But what fun. Have a great weekend!
