In many ways this week felt really quiet, with a rotating caste of students home sick. I hope that you all stay healthy this February break! Highlights from the week include:
*Three different Jan Brett books. We especially loved The Turnip, and the way Jan Brett uses her illustrations to tell more than one story at a time.
*Crafting, glitter, and hearts galore (hopefully the beautiful valentines make their way home to you).
*Bread on a stick over the fire with Avery's mom!
*Strawberries dipped in marshmallow fluff roasted over the fire for a special Valentines Day treat - yum!
*Eating the Rainbow (yellow!) with Farmer Sarah.
Only a few pictures this week - enjoy!
Students mixed up some bread dough on Tuesday afternoon...
And on Wednesday we were ready for bread on a stick.
We learned that YELLOW fruits and veggies are good for our immune system.
That's a sour lemon!
Refilling the bird feeders outside our classroom
The rain yesterday created such interesting snow. This kiddo found "a masterpiece!"
Dip a strawberry in fluff and roast it over the fire, and you get...
Flufferberries!
