And More Snow

Are you tired of snow yet? We're not! We spent a lot of time in the field this week, building a snow fort, tracking, enjoying the sun.

Next Friday is Valentines Day, one of our favorite pre-k holidays. We'll focus on the theme of kindness, thinking about ways to show our care for one another. If your child would like to bring cards in on Friday your are welcome, though certainly not obligated. Please leave candy at home. We'll make a sweet treat over the fire, and if there's a family that would like to send in a special sweet Valentine's baked good let me know.

And don't forget that Winter Vacation starts on Monday February 17!

Fresh snow, fresh eating

On Monday we played Name Memory using our classmate's names.

Sun and snow, so beautiful!

Time to build a snow fort...

and a snow couch...

and a tunnel!

We've been making LOTS of bird feeders for the tree outside our classroom. Our plan is to get the birds VERY used to eating from the tree so we can do a special project, hopefully soon. Stay tuned!

On Friday we made dumplings to help celebrate Chinese New Year.

Unfortunately we didn't get to cook them over the fire - too windy! But they were still delicious pan-fried by Melissa in the kitchen.

The snowbanks are SO fun for climbing right now.

And the snow is so inviting for plopping into and watching the clouds.

Have a great weekend!
