Magic in the Woods

We had a beautiful week in pre-k. Thank you so much for your amazing participation in our sing along on Wednesday night. We teachers, along with the musicians were all feeling deep gratitude to you and your creative kiddos. Magic in the woods, for sure!

This is such a busy time of year, and we're feeling the end of year energy! We'll start talking with the class about the transition to kindergarten during the last week of school. We find that if we start that conversation too early the angst builds and energy bubbles over. Instead, we're sticking with routine, routine, consistency, consistency. And thanks for YOUR help in getting your kids the rest they need at home.

Speaking of end-of-the-year, we'd love for you to join us on the last day of school at 10:15 in Wildwood Forest for a Last Day Pancake Celebration. We'll have a quick transition ceremony, and celebrate the last day of school with a pancake feast. This will be a weather-pending celebration!

Keep these dates on your calendar:

*This Wednesday June 4, 5:00 pm - PTO Cookout

*Friday June 13 - Field Day (See school newsletter for more info)

*Wednesday June 18 - Last Day of School, dismissal at 11:30

New stump delivery!

We had to work together to roll those heavy stumps to our circle area. Did anyone notice how nice they looked at Arts Night??

We discovered that kazoos are a much better fit in the woods than in the classroom!

This stump became the perfect place for smashing. These two are breaking pebbles apart.

This kiddo is crushing charcoal

Collect the charcoal dust and...

add some water for paint!

So much organizing, so much counting!

Movie day! We made it about 25 minutes :)

Friday tools

Friday play dough

Have a wonderful weekend!
