First Snow!

It was a whirlwind week, but we had a ton of fun in the SNOW! Our winter schedule looks a little bit different from the fall, and is (*approximately*) as follows:

7:50 - Arrival, breakfast, play time

8:45ish - small group activities

9:30ish - circle time

9:45 - snack (inside)

10:15ish - head outside

11:45 - story (outside, when possible)

12:00 - lunch (inside)

12:30ish - rest time

1:15ish - transition to specials (art/gym/library) or play time

2:00ish - outside to playground

The rhythm of the day allows for lots of exploration inside, while also getting kids outside and active for a good chunk of time each day.

We didn't get too many pictures this week, but ask your child about sledding, and our first fire (with tea and story time). Have a wonderful weekend!

This kiddo created a "soda store" in-a-bucket. Any flavor you want!

Climb up the stump, slide down the tree like a fire fighter's pole. It's scary, but so fun!

What a treat to have so much snow waiting for us on Wednesday. It feels really different out in the forest!

There was a LOT of shoveling to do...

and a lot of snow to move around.

We discovered that if you shake a tree really hard you can make a snowstorm!

A perfect happy spot.
