Happy Friday! Hopefully by now you've received your child's mid-year progress report in the mail (let me know if not). These reports are just one way to share information with you about your child, but as always, please be in touch if you have questions.
Please join us next Thursday 2/12 right after school for the grand unveiling of our Board Games Library! We'll have snacks and games available to pre-k and k families, and will teach you our system for checking games out to take home with you. If you can't make it on Thursday, don't worry, you can still check out games from the library any time you like.
This week we welcomed a new classmate to pre-k - welcome Levi! If you see him or his family at drop off or pick up, introduce yourself - we're so happy to have him join us!
Enjoy a few pictures from the week...
Setting up the dollhouse with a friend.
Hiking the ridge of the giant snowbanks - still fun!
Jump!
Practicing some of the games that will be available to take home...
A road system in the works.
We worked with Farmer Sarah on a Friday cooking project.
Everyone cut up one or two carrots...
Into the Dutch oven with a little bit of olive oil and maple syrup - roast over the fire, and voila! Maple roasted carrots. They didn't last long!
Friday graphics practice, working to build some muscle memory for these little hands. Today we focused on "big curves", always going from top to bottom.

We decorated Wildwood Forest - the snow looks like a tie-die party!
This crew is learning how to whittle sticks
Ice tea popsicle, anyone?
We ended the week with a beautiful sharing of rest-time lego creations, a Friday afternoon tradition. The sharer always takes questions or comments. Can you guess the most popular pre-k question? Yep, it's "does it shoot fireballs?" And the answer is obviously, always "yes."
Have a great weekend!
