It's amazing all that can happen in a week! From rain on Monday to steamy heat on Friday, we did a lot. A big part of our work in pre-k is learning adaptive skills, like putting on jackets, zipping zippers, pulling cuffs over boots. We'll have lots of opportunity for practice this year, and you can practice at home as well. Before zipping your child's jacket for them, try saying "Show me what you tried, first." You may need to give some instruction, and do some hand over hand helping, but give it a shot!
When the rain gear is on, the puddles are sooo fun.
Water in the woods is a real gift, particularly in the mud kitchen.
Some critter collecting - look closely - can you tell what they are?
Once it dried out we turned our attention towards leaves.
We collected leaves and sorted them into different piles.
We used our different leaves to make some leaf patterns.
Beautiful!
Our Wildwood Forest boundaries have expanded, and now include a music garden...
...and a wobbly rope bridge.
These two buddies are sharing about their favorite birds.
Have a fantastic weekend!
